Construction & Materials
The bushing body is manufactured from high-grade wet-process porcelain (C120-grade aluminum silicate ceramic) with a smooth, vitrified glaze finish that resists moisture ingress, surface tracking, and chemical attack. Internal copper or brass conductors are silver-brazed or crimped to ensure low contact resistance; elastomeric NBR or silicone gaskets provide oil-tight interfaces with the transformer tank. Hardware is zinc-plated or stainless steel to withstand long-term thermal cycling.
Applications
Oil-immersed power transformers and distribution transformers in 11 kV–245 kV networks; load tap changers; generator step-up units; traction and rectifier transformers.
Quality & Standards Compliance
Manufactured in accordance with ANSI. Routine testing includes visual inspection, dimensional verification, dye-penetrant or ultrasonic porcelain body checks, partial discharge measurement, power-frequency voltage withstand, and lightning impulse voltage test. Type-tested designs are available with certified test reports upon request.
